 ◊ November 2009 ◊ eAsia Award for APEDA's GrapeNet Project ◊

Our project GRAPENET , executed for APEDA, has won the eASIA award for 2009. It has been recognized as an important achievement in Asia last year in the area of "Bridging the Digital Divide" in trade.

The eASIA Awards are administrated by Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT), set up under the aegis of United Nations (UN). The results were announced on 5 November, at the eASIA Night in New Delhi as a part of this year's Twenty seventh AFACT Meetings and EDICOM 2009, in a glittering function attended by delegates and semi-finalists from 17 Asian countries.

It is a proud moment for all of us in Logicsoft for one of our projects to be awarded in an international forum; it is another proof that our endeavour, towards building and managing world class solutions at Indian costs for our customers as well as for the continued hard work, commitment and delivery, is getting recognized for the benefits our solutions bring to our customers and their stake holders.

Logicsoft is very happy to be associated in this prestigious project and take this opportunity to wish and thank APEDA, its Chairman, its Mr.Dave, Director Mr.Dave, Mr.Sunil Kumar, Mr.Sudhanshu and all other officials for entrusting this prestigious task with trust on us.

eAsia Awards 2009 for GrapeNet

Brief Note on eASIA Award Function on 5th November 2009

Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, during the e-Asia Award ceremony, here today, stated that e-governance projects as a leading model generate excellent outcome and benefits in tWerms of awareness it creates. He further added that e-Industry and e-Business programmes significantly enhances internal and external e-Business alliance as well as e-Commerce efficiency. The awards function was jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT) and National Informatics Centre (NIC) and attended by Dr. Sutanu Behuria, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce and Dr. B.K. Gairola, Director General, NIC.

While distributing the e-Asia awards, Shri Scindia informed that bridging the digital divide ensures equal opportunity for people in technology usages, broadens the access to computers and provide skilled manpower to businesses. The awards were given in the categories of trade facilitation; electronic business in the public sector and private sector; bridging digital divide and special honorary.
